Perhaps the most difficult task of a salsa dancer is listening to the music. We are so focused on getting the steps and the moves right that we often forget to absorb what the musician is 'telling' us. 

The musician himself is not making this task any easier for us, because salsa music is extremely complex. This video is illustrating two easy options for understanding the structure of a song - either by sensing its story or by counting and anticipating what is coming next.
